Indoor installation:

When LED flexible strips are used for indoor decoration, installation is very simple as they do not have to withstand wind and rain. Taking the LED strips produced by Gosens as an example, each LED strip has a self-adhesive 3M double-sided adhesive tape on the back. During installation, the sticker on the surface of the 3M double-sided adhesive tape can be directly removed, and the light strip can be fixed where it needs to be installed. Simply press it flat with your hand. As for some places that require corners or grow, what should we do? Simply put, LED flexible strip is a circuit structure composed of three LEDs in series and parallel, each of which can be cut and used separately.

Outdoor installation:

Outdoor installation can withstand wind and rain. If 3M adhesive is used for fixation, over time, it will cause a decrease in the 3M adhesive and cause the LED strip to fall off. Therefore, outdoor installation often uses card slot fixation. The places that need to be cut and connected are the same as indoor installation, but additional waterproof adhesive is required to strengthen the waterproof effect of the connection point.

Power connection method:

The general voltage of LED strips is 12V DC, so a switching power supply is required. The size of the power supply is determined by the power and connection length of the LED strip. If you don't want each LED strip to be controlled by a single power supply, you can purchase a high-power switching power supply as the main power supply, and then connect all LED flexible strip input power supplies in parallel (if the wire size is not enough, it can be extended separately), and the power supply can be uniformly supplied by the main switching power supply. The advantage of this is that it can be centrally controlled, but the inconvenient aspect is that it cannot achieve the lighting effect and switch control of a single LED strip. The specific method used can be measured by oneself.

Controller connection method:

LED running light strips and RGB addressable LED strips require the use of controllers to achieve illusion effects, and the control distance of each controller is different. Generally speaking, the control distance of a simple controller is 10 to 15 meters, the control distance of a remote controller is 15 to 20 meters, and the Z-length can be controlled to a distance of 30 meters. If the connection distance of the LED strip is long and the controller cannot control such a long light strip, then a power amplifier needs to be used for tapping.
